All You Need to Host a Fun Vegan Brunch
There’s nothing better than bonding with family and friends over good food and good times. Whether it’s with your closest family or friends you haven’t seen in a while, hosting a brunch is a great way to connect with your loved ones. There’s a lot that goes into hosting brunches, so if it’s your first time, it can be a little overwhelming. That’s why we’ve whipped up this quick guide on how to host a memorable vegan brunch.
From useful tips to scrumptious recipes, we've gathered all you need to know to pull off a vegan brunch.
Prep! Prep! Prep!
When it comes to brunches, things should always be planned to a ‘T’. This way, you’re not scrambling over last-minute adjustments or brunch items you might have missed. So, try to create a list of everything you need to prepare so you don’t forget anything and have full control over things.
It’s also a good idea to use tools that can make preparation and clean-up easier. To this end, weknowrice.com points out how the humble rice cooker not only lets you cook grains like rice, quinoa, and barley at the press of a button, but it can also let you steam vegetables and tofu for your other dishes as well. Meanwhile, a food processor can make chopping, slicing, and dicing your different ingredients very easy. Tools like these can help cut down your prep time, and let you focus on other ingredients or tasks while they work in the background to help you make your vegan brunch a success. This way you can concentrate on the other aspects of the brunch.
Set A Theme
You can make your brunch more fun for your guests if you set a theme. If you don’t know where to start, we’ve listed below a few exciting themes you can have for your next brunch.
Ask your guests to attend your brunch wearing their jammies and comfy slippers. You can also set floor pillows and blanket forts as sleepy decor.
Back to The 90s
Cosmopolitan.com points out that 90s fashion is resurfacing, so to inject a little nostalgia in your vegan brunch, have your guests wear their best 90s-inspired outfit to your brunch. To further set the mood, create a 90s hits playlist that you and your guests can jam to.
Dress Up as a Movie Character
Use your brunch as an excuse to dress up! As a fun brunch theme, ask your friends to dress up as their favorite movie characters. For sure, your guests will have a fun time guessing each other’s characters.
Bond Over Fun Activities
If you want your brunch to be unforgettable, you can mix in a few entertaining activities to enjoy with your guests. Thespruce.com notes that easy party games like Never Have I Ever or Truth or Dare are some that will keep your guests entertained until the end. If you decide to have a theme for your brunch, make sure that your activity is relevant to it. This way, you can make sure that your brunch is a party your friends won’t forget.
